The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified decidedly sounds comforting, what does it actually mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the industry are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without being NATE-Certified.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most qualified technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may obtain certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly effiecient and professional and will do the job correctly the first time. Our company has the ability and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment.
